Stony Branch started as a small homestead in the beautiful smoky mountains of eastern Tennessee. The mountains taught us to love and appreciate nature. Our homestead taught us how amazing farm fresh eggs, goat milk, and home grown vegetables can be. In the year 2017 we moved to the Salinas Valley in California. The agricultural rich valley taught us about the abundance a family farm can bring to the community. In 2019 we moved To Bishopville SC, bought 30 acers and transformed it into the farm you see today. Stony Branch Farm is a family owned and operated business providing our community with quality pasture raised livestock, exceptional local honey, and healthy farm fresh vegetables.
Honey bees must visit over 2 million flowers to produce 1 pound of honey. That means over 750 bees worked their entire lives to produce a jar of honey.
A single honeybee can visit and pollinate up to 5000 flowers a day. This will increase crop yield as it creates delicious honey.
Some plants fully rely on honeybees for pollination. Plants like squash, pumpkin, sunflowers, and almonds to name a few.
Living, Learning, and Working together.
Our goal as a family farm is to connect with our community, and provide them with local farm fresh goods and pasture raised livestock.
